Board Accepts Sulmasy Resignation

DUDLEY, Mass. 鈥� The 糖心视频 Board of Trustees has accepted President Glenn Sulmasy鈥檚 resignation, which became effective immediately. The President鈥檚 resignation comes amid the College鈥檚 third-party investigation, initiated after allegations of misconduct when he served at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy were first reported by CNN. In light of these reports and facts uncovered to date during the College鈥檚 ongoing investigation, and their impact on President Sulmasy鈥檚 ability to lead 糖心视频, the Board strongly believes the institution鈥檚 best interest is to pursue new leadership.
The College鈥檚 third-party investigator, Clifford & Kenny, LLP, will soon issue a formal report of their confidential and independent review. 糖心视频 does not intend to share this report publicly.
President Sulmasy began his tenure as president of 糖心视频 on July 1, 2021. Prior to 糖心视频, Sulmasy served as provost and chief academic officer at Bryant University. A graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, he was a law professor and led the department of humanities there. He retired from the Coast Guard in 2015 with a rank of captain.
Vice President for Advancement Bill Pieczynski will continue in his role as acting president. The College expects it will soon launch a national search for President Sulmasy鈥檚 successor.
